Benvenuto Brunello 2013

We  didn't miss  the presentation of the new Brunello wine, in Montalcino, even the snow couldn't stop the three of us

so outside the snow and inside the wine....

the presentation of  the  2008  Brunello, pure San Giovese grapes, minimum aged 5 years, was inside a XII century monastery, the wine tasting was in the cloister of an old convent

As many experts confirm, the 2008 was not an easy year because there was an alternation of warm and cold climate so that the 2008  brunello is easier to drink, with structure, tannins, perfumes,  an easier Brunello than  the other years, less powerful less pretentious, but  much more elegant.

and after the  wine tasting, a good buffet in a gorgeous, frescoed medieval castle ...  slurp!

Chianti Classico Collection, 2013

As usual this year Francesca, Olivia and I  went to the presentation of the new Chianti Classico wine, for the years 2011 and 2012 and Classico Riserva 2010

one of the news  is the  new look of the black rooster, the symbol of the Chianti Classico region, after 89 years he appears more proud, elegant, gritty  along with new rules for the production of the  chianti classico wine

more than 500 labels, and about 150 wineries  and 150 journalists from about 26 countries were at the wine event...

after tasting hundreds of Chiantis we can confirm that the Chianti Classico wine 2011 and 2012 is  very good !

countless efforts have been rewarded
